Steve began his floorball career 18 years ago in Perth, Western Australia. Coaching youth floorball and captaining competitive club teams. Repatriating to Canada, he and his family established Infinity Floorball in 2018 as an organization to help develop floorball in Nova Scotia, growing to become one of the largest floorball organizations in Canada.
After 6 years as a Floorball Canada director Steve has refocused on regional grassroots development programs with a special focus on female floorball, developing skill and leadership.
His background in competitive coaching has led to floorball roles such as head coach for Nova Scotia provincial and ECFL teams, along with duties as assistant coach for U19 female Canadian national team.
Fredrik lives in Sweden and is the father to three daughters who he has coached to become elite floorball players. He has been part of elite floorball in Sweden for many years and has an extensive experience as both a player and a coach. He is extremely knowledgable and passionate about floorball and is the brains behind Fast Forward Girls in Sweden, which helps in get more girls involved in floorball in Sweden.
Fredrik has shared his passion floorball with the Canadian National U19 team as Tactical Coach during the WFC Poland 2022 and WFC Finland 2024. He will also be joining the team again as Head Coach at the WFC Italy 2026.
Sonja started playing Floorball in 2006 and shortly after joined the very first Canadian Women's Floorball National team. She has been a part of the team for 27 international matches in 9 different WFC tournaments. In her last two appearances she serving as the team captain. As well as playing, Sonja has been part of the coaching staff with the U19 Women's National team since 2012.
Sonja joined the Floorball Canada board in 2014 working as a General Manager for the Women's team and eventually becoming the Director of Women's High Performance from 2019-2023.
Sonja has a passion for growing the sport with young players and has been part of many school demonstrations, hockey workshops, and camps all to spread the love of floorball in Canada.
